Sofia Del Moral is an international associate at LOVILL and is part of the firm’s Corporate and M&A, Banking and Finance, and Tax teams.
Sofia’s experience includes advising clients in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, banking and securities regulation, bankruptcy law, and tax matters. She has also advised clients on civil and administrative law matters for international arbitration procedures.
She completed her LL.M. studies on International Financial Law at King’s College London’s Dickinson Poon School of Law and completed a Masters in Law (LL.M.) at Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law. Sofia also has an LL.B. from IE University Law School.
Relevant Cases
Formed part of a multijurisdictional legal team representing the State in negotiations with a private entity of the mining industry, one of the biggest commercial relationships between the public and private sector in Panama.
Acted as part of the team of legal advisors of the Panama Canal in an international arbitration procedure.
Provided legal advice in the merger of two investment advising companies, and worked in revising of the merger agreement, preparing all legal documents, and leading enquiries and procedures before regulators.
Assisted a bank in liquidation procedures.
