Mandatory Update Campaign for the Taxpayer Identification Registry (RUC)

Panama’s General Directorate of Revenue (DGI), through Resolution No. 201-4488 dated June 4, 2025, has set August 31, 2025 as the deadline for all taxpayers to update their information in the Taxpayer Identification Registry (RUC) through e-Tax 2.0.

This resolution establishes the following elements so that the update can be carried out properly:

1. Taxpayers required: All taxpayers, whether individuals or legal entities, registered or required to register as taxpayers with the DGI.

2. Deadline: Taxpayers will have until August 31, 2025 to update this information through the DGI’s e-Tax 2.0 system.

3. Penalties for non-compliance: This resolution establishes penalties ranging from B/.100.00 to B/.500.00 if the taxpayer falls under any of the following scenarios:

a. Providing partial, insufficient, or incorrect information; or

b. Failing to update the data in the RUC before August 31, 2025.
