Nicole Brenes is junior associate at LOVILL. Nicole is part of the firm’s Corporate and M&A, Labor and Immigration, and Public and Administrative practices since 2019.

Nicole has experience assisting local and multinational companies in labor, immigration, regulatory and administrative matters. She has been part of the legal advising team of important multinational companies in the consumer goods, financial services and logistics industries, since 2019. During this time, she has assisted the representation of companies registered under the Special Regime for Multinational Headquarters in establishing their headquarters of operations in Panama and providing legal advice in their day-to-day.

She completed her LL.M. studies at The Pennsylvania State University, with concentrations in Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Banking and Financial Law, and Antitrust Law. Nicole has an LL.B. in Law and Political Science from the Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua.

Relevant Matters

Acted as part of the team of legal advisors of a Costa Rican company in the possible purchase of a telecommunication company in Panama, as well as in its entry to the Panamanian market.

Active participation and assistance in the representation of Panama’s largest security agency in the company wind down, termination of labor contracts and negotiation and termination of contracts with the labor union.

Assisted the acquisition of two analysis laboratories in Panama and reviewed the regulatory legislation applicable to the acquisition.

Assisted multinational companies in regulatory matters related to sanitary registrations and licenses for food industry.

Assisted the liquidation and labor termination of a hotel in Panama.
